This game was created in the early 1900’s but it still holds up today as a great card game that requires strategy and planning. This game is similar to Authors in that it’s very suitable for all ages. It rewards being sneaky and paying attention to the cards people are bluffing with. Tip: If someone is saying they have 3 Queens but you have 2 in your hands, you should definitely call their bluff!. After a few rounds playing with someone, you might even start getting a better read on them. Warning - you may develop trust issues after playing this game!

99 (Ninety Nine)

The aim of 99 is to bring the deck as close to that value as possible without going over, however there are cards that possess special rules. As with most card games that are not trick based, this game is easy to learn and a great option for all ages. Once you get the hang of the special rules for each card, this game really picks up in pace and strategy. Think of it a bit like Jenga - as the number gets closer and closer to 99, the tension builds and you don’t want to be the one to push it over!

How to play 99 (Ninety Nine)

This card game is perfect for 3 players, but can be played with up to 4. The reason is, some of the special rules for cards have “reverse” effects, so there needs to be more than 2 players to make the most of this gameplay.
